Scotchies (Blonde Brownies)

1/2 C melted butter
1 1/2 C brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 C flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 C chopped nuts

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease the bottom of 9×9 pan with butter.
2. Blend butter and sugar together. Add eggs, on at a time, beating well after each. Stir in vanilla.
3. In a separate bowl, combine flour and baking soda; add to butter mixture and mix well. Stir in nuts.
4. Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 30 minutes. Be sure not to over bake. Cut into bars.
